CivicAID Network is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing, dignity, and rights of everyone we work with — including program participants, volunteers, staff, and vulnerable community members — particularly children and at-risk adults involved in our access-to-justice and community programs.

1. Our commitment

We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, exploitation, and harassment of any kind by our staff, volunteers, partners, or representatives. Every person engaging with our programs has the right to be treated with respect and protected from harm.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all CivicAID Network staff, board members, volunteers, interns, consultants, and partner organization representatives engaged in delivering our programs.

3. Key principles

• The best interests of children and vulnerable adults come first in all program decisions.
• All staff and volunteers working directly with vulnerable populations undergo screening and safeguarding training.
• We maintain clear codes of conduct for all program engagements.
• We provide accessible, confidential channels for reporting concerns, without fear of retaliation.
• All safeguarding concerns are investigated promptly and, where required, reported to relevant authorities.
